Pray Continually

Pray continually

1 THESSALONIANS 5:17

As April was coming to an end, there was so much to be thankful for. I always wonder if I would have enough days ahead of me  to thank God for everything he has already done in the days gone by.  All I could think of was joining both my hands in prayer and raising it up to my Father in Heaven.  Closing my eyes and imagining what a praying hand means in the spiritual realm culminated in this painting. (though the hand got camouflaged in all the colors from the sleepy brush strokes in the wee hours of the morning and might need touch up and rectification later!!)

A “Prayer Hand” connects  Earth to Heaven  and Heaven to Earth especially, when you let the Holy Spirit pray through you in tongues.  This is depicted by the blue Sky (Heaven) blending into the green meadow (Earth) and vice versa. Praying people are like the pink  spring flowers waving in the wind (dancing), sending their aroma/fragrance unto God above.  These are the pink curvy lines from the ‘pink’ flowers into the blue skies.  But then, prayer is a two way conversation and hence there are the ‘blue’ wavy lines from God to us! Got to listen and tune into what He is saying though 🙂

24/7 is translation of praying “continually” onto a canvas in gold paint. (Time is gold they say!) When we are in ‘constant communication’ and ‘communion with God’, WORSHIP is the most natural thing to do …and hence the music that fills the air.  The golden rain is his glory and blessings that rain down on us when we look up to Him. His mercy is fresh every morning just like the morning dew!

P.S.: The ‘unfinished’ painting in the photograph below shows ‘the prayer hand’ that I had in mind originally, when I started the painting. Lo and behold……the colors from my sleepy brush strokes just make them look more like a way/path more than a praying hand :), which also kinda makes sense too. (prayer is a way to God)…..another proof and testimony that God can make our mess into a message too 🙂
